Beans roasted here in the South West and pulled properly — espresso, flat whites and long blacks that taste like someone cared.

Real food, made simple

Sausage rolls, toast and marmalade, toasted teacakes and good bread — plus cakes and tarts worth coming back for.

Our story

Your local, not a chain.

Devon Coffee is a lovely independent coffee shop on Queen Street — no group behind us, no franchise handbook. Just a small team, locally roasted beans and a room people don't want to leave in a hurry.

It's cosy in here: warm corners, comforting music and a slightly European feel to the whole thing. Students, regulars on their way through town, people meeting for a catch-up — everyone gets the same welcome.

And the banter is part of it. Our staff will remember your order, take the mickey gently and send you off with a smile. Serious about coffee, not remotely serious about ourselves.
